The final leg !

Dear penguins ooops i mean owls!

This is my last blog before coming home. As you can see pippa and i went to venice and they didnt use cars, they used boats! There were lots of bridges.
We then went to rome and pippa saw the vatican city which is a city inside a city where the pope lives ! It has its own money and post service. The next day we saw the colosseum and saw a penguin fighting a cheatah in front of 50 thousand people ! The colosseum was massive and the gladiators used to fight there...rome was very hot.
After rome we went to the mountains near mont-blanc which splits france and italy. I built a model of the collosseum out of rocks.
We then drove through the long tunnel under mont-blanc to france. In dijon i ate some snails because you can eat them in france, i liked them. At paris i thought we'd taken the wrong turning and ended up at disney land ! (but it was really a surprise from mummy and daddy because we had been super all holiday) we went on a buzz light year ride and shot lots of aliens, we also saw some super stunts and a man got on fire but he wasn't hurt because he was a stunt man. We stayed at disney land for 2 days and then yesterday we went to paris. I went to the top of the eifel tower it was very high and very windy. We then went to a museum called le louvre which is a massive art place and we saw a special painting of a lady called 'mona lisa'. We also saw venus de milo which is a famous statue..... And now we are heading to the euro tunnel to come back home. Pippa and i have had a really great adventure. See you all on monday ;-)

Bohinj

Dear penguins,
We have been in slovenia for a few days now, at bohinj where the campsite is by a river and there is a lake 6km away.
I went swimming in the river with my kick board that we bought in poland and there was a plunge pool where a stream joined the river that was so so cold.
The next day mummy and daddy took to an aqua park and i swam without my arm bands! There was a cave with bubbles in it, a climbing wall above the water and two water slides. Tho black slide was very fun! That night we saw a magician at the campsite and both charlotte and i helped with the tricks.
I went snorkleing for the first time yesterday and in the lake too. I saw some perch and lots of chub. I also went canoeing from that lake back to the campsite and there was lots of fun parts. I fell out of the canoe on a rapid and didnt even cry. I stood up and climbed back in. We saw a man jump from a diving board into the river. When we got back the man at the canoe place said we were very quick and when we went to take my wetsuit back another man said we were very quick too!
At bed time we had a fire and we saw a satellite fly through the sky which might be sending this blog!

Lake bled

Dear penguins
We're not in austria any more. Now we are in another country called slovenia.
When i was in austria i went on a very long walk for 10 km. It was very hard but i made it. Daddy said he got bitten by a snake but he was only joking ;-) it rained too. We went to a mountain hut and i had a really nice pancake. It had lots of sugar and jam on it. The next day we drove up the mountain and walked to a hut really high. We saw some snow there and i had to walk over it. It was slippery but mummy had bought me a walking pole so i didn't slip. Later on it rained so we went to the rest room and watched some tv. It was really good but i still didn't understand it but i haven't seen tv for 5 weeks. The next day we drove to slovenia to a place called lake bled. The camp site had a really good play ground right next to our camper so we could in there on our own. We went on our scooters around the lake and i ate some shark for dinner. This morning we went swimming in the lake it was the warmest lake that we've been swimming in so far, i went under water and could see the bottom. Now we are camping near a river. We only drove for a little while today. There is a slide the same as the last camp site but we haven't been to in yet. We are going to go canoeing down the river soon. Its very cold so i hope i don't get very wet.

On holiday

Dear penguins.
Pippa and i have been very lazy now its school holidays but my homework today is to write this. We are in austria now and there is a really cool play ground here. Its made of wood with platforms where charlotte and i were doing drawing today. Its got a really fast slide too. We left poland on monday. I think last time i wrote we were in warsaw. .then we went to krakow and went to the zoo which was good but it was a long walk through a forest. We went 350 metres underground into a salt mine. I licked the wall and it was salty. There was a massive church down there too. When we went to zakopane me and charlotte did a massive walk up a mountain then on the way down we got some water that was coming out of the ground really fast. It was called a spring and made a river it was very cold and tasted delicious. Then on the way back i caught a fish for my supper in the restaurant. It was very funny jumping about and charlotte screamed. We went on a bungy trampoline and bouncey castle slides which was such fun.
We went to slovakia only for 2 days because we didn't want to go to the city and mum and dad wanted to go to a mountain. That's why we are in austria. Its very nice. We went into an ice cave and up a mountain in a cable car. I nearly froze to death but it was lucky that i didn't. The best bit ever was when we went sledging up a mountain. It was so much fun and i went over a big bump and fell off. It was still sunny and warm. We wanted to walk to a glacier tomorrow but zoe is too little to go up in the cable car as its very high. We'll still go walking some where.
Zoe is so funny she can sit up now which i taught her to do with my lego box she is also standing up and can walk in the camper van using the cushion

Belated warsaw (stuck in daddys outbox)

Dear penguins, daddy bought me a nerf shooter today and the dart which has a black rubber end and a soft squishy long bit went through the fence and we had to go and get it. When we got there i saw a sign which said 'no people allowed' in Polish so daddy and me sneaked in to get it! I was quite scared. Penguins please draw what you would feel like if that happened to you........ Mr ward you have to do it too for homework ;-)
We are in Warsaw now.

Ice cream bigger than we thought !

Dear penguins,
On our last day at zgon, i went canoeing with mummy and we saw a pirate at a cafe made of wood over the lake (a tawerna) who gave us an ice cream sandwich. When we got back We made a book about my cat murphy. In the afternoon i went canoeing with daddy.
We went to a restaurant to have dinner and zoe said 'ga ga' and everybody laughed because it was her first word and it was so funny.
The mosquitoes didnt bite me because i asked my smelliness from my feet to go into my body !

Hello. Its a long time since I wrote to you. I did go in a canoe and it was lots of fun, Charlotte got vey wet. I was very fast at canoeing. One night we had a bath in the lake before bed as you can see in the picture. We left the lake and drove to the Baltic coast to a Place called Rowy. It was very busy. The first day we were there the waves were So Big ! I was jumping under and over them and one very big one nearly drowned me ! It was lots of fun. I ate some eel which was very lovely. I played air hockey with charlotte and i won in the last second.
There was a big storm just before we left with lots of lightening. The thunder was very loud and very exciting. Pippa and I saw a man doing his tent in the rain. When the storm was over we had a lake all around us. We drove through it but the man had to camp there.
The next place we went to was gdansK which is a City. We saw Green Gate which is where the King used to live. It isn't really a gate its a big building with arches. We also went to a restaurant and I ate pigs trotters in beer, it was so nice, we also tasted gold water that the man gave to mummy and daddy, it was quite spicy.
We left Gdansk yesterday and drove for ages. We are still in poland and camping right next to another lake in mazurskie national park. There are 2000 lakes here made by glaciers. Its not cold though. I think we will go swimming later. Daddy has gone to ask if we can hire a boat to explore in.
I know that you all go on school holidays tomorrow but i will keep writing so that you can look from your own computer if you want to. I hope that you have a lovely holiday. Mr Ward thank you for being my teacher i had lots of fun with you.

Berlin and beyond !

Dear penguins,
I've been so busy i haven't had chance to write to you ! I went on a double decker train to berlin. In berlin i saw a wall that separated the east and the west and if you climbed over it you got into big trouble. Now there are just little bits left. There's pictures and writing on the wall. When daddy went to berlin 20 years ago he climbed through a little hole into 'no-mans' land. I got a visa for east berlin with 6 stamps on it like you would have had to get when the wall was still there. I also saw the brandenburg gate and had my picture taken with pippa. It was really big with pillars. We went on a double decker bus upstairs.

This is rally unusual...mummy had a coffee and it was cold. I had chocolate frappucino without coffee which was also cold. Charlotte was asleep. I found some glass at the bus stop and daddy took a photograph to show what an exciting and educational visit i had to historic berlin. Then we took the double decker train back to our campervan and had a parking ticket. Mummy had to speak in german. Then we drove to poland in our pj's
In poland we are camping next to a lake.we have been swimming in it and it's so cold !
I played pool with daddy and i won. A boy from poland gave me my first ever chewing gum and i didnt swallow it, but charlotte did. We're going in a canoe later. It's very hot! Is it very hot in england ?

Near berlin

Dear penguins,
This is a picture of me and my new friend Joel and Joel is from a different country. As you see from the picture we are holding dragon flies (we let them go after the photo)
Last night we were really 'lucky' because frank zander was at the campsite for his 'music and voice party band'. He sang all of mr wards favourite songs including YMCA (in german) and 'I am sailing' (also in german) and my favourite song 'hey baby....oooh...ahh...i wanna knowowowow...if youll be girl'. Charlotte and i danced outside the campervan until it got dark !
When we were dancing outside some people watched is fora while.
We think Frank went home on a bicycle.

prague

Dear penguins,
As you see in the photo we are on a tram. Yesterday we bought 'jenga' to play in the campervan, it was made by some local people.
We played 'jenga' and I...'jeremy' won ! (definitely not daddy)
We went to charles bridge and counted one hundred and thirty four steps in the tower.
We also saw a great clock called the astronomical clock. Every hour a skeleton rang the bell and out of the windows at the top came some prophets.
Today we went to prague castle and saw some archaeologists who had bones in a bucket. We saw st vitas cathedral in the castle grounds and saw a big hall in the castle where horses galloped inside.

Koln

Dear penguins,
Yesterday we went to the chocolate factory in koln and we saw a chocolate fountain and at school mr ward can you get one PLEASE?! We saw chocolate being made and put into into wrappers by a machine and it was so sooo yummy:-)

We went to Dom cathederal and it had painted windows called stained glass.

Last night we drove in our pajamas so we could get to prague by tonight and i did my scrap book.

cologne

Dear penguins,
Yesterday we went on this train through a tunnel under the sea all the way to france and it only took 35 minutes. We stopped the camper van late at night in a forest in belgium (belgium doesnt look like france).
Today we are near koln where we took a photo of me, pippa and my little sister charlotte by the river rhine where we are camping. Zoe keeps eating paper like the incredible book eating boy!
